About

A successful infrastructure engineer, Darren Pham completed the Year Up IT training and development program, which combined extensive college-level coursework and experiential learning through a corporate internship. In 2015, he worked as a system monitoring and tools intern at eBay’s IT Command Center in San Jose, California. As a member of the event management team, he created a training manual for employees and documented new procedures to expedite onboarding processes. Darren Pham monitored various systems, such as vCenters, databases, and physical hosts to send notifications to infrastructure teams. He also worked with teams from BMC Software, Dell, and Quest to identify and resolve issues with their software.

After his 5-month internship, Darren Pham took a permanent position at eBay as a systems engineer. For over 2 years, he used Foglight to monitor applications and services, defined key performance indicators for data, and developed rules and scripts to send alerts to concerned teams. He was the lead on a project that monitored Polycom video conferencing, including 20 backend infrastructure components, to help support teams manage and resolve issues. In February 2018, he joined Splunk, where he served as a lead network operations center engineer. He was involved primarily in cloud operations, operating internal systems such as Okta, Salesforce Dot Com, and Atlassian stack.

Currently, Darren Pham is completing the Full Stack Web Development Boot Camp facilitated by the University of California, Berkeley, which includes a learning curriculum on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and other technologies.
